Flying British Ariways
Next tuesday I am about to board a short flight to London Heathrow (LHR). It seems that BA still has some issues with their onboard catering. This is the email I received today…..
Dear Mr Tukker,
I am writing with regards to the British Airways flight you are taking over the next few days that is departing from or arriving into London Heathrow.
As a valued member of the British Airways Executive Club, I would like to make you aware of the current problems we are experiencing with our onboard catering due to unofficial industrial action by workers at our Heathrow catering supplier, Gate Gourmet.
Currently the only catering available on-board our Heathrow short-haul flights is tea and coffee.
At London Heathrow a voucher for use in the terminal is available for you to collect prior to boarding. These vouchers are available at check-in, at customer service desks and in our lounges.
For flights to Heathrow, either a deli-bag or a catering voucher is available for you to collect prior to boarding.
We apologise in advance for any inconvenience this situation may cause you and would like to assure you that we are doing all possible to return to the high service standards you have come to expect from us.
Once again thank you for your cooperation at this difficult time.
Yours sincerely,
Martin George
Commercial Director, British Airways
